Beelink EX Mate mini 80Gbps Dock for Mac mini M4
$389.00
The Beelink EX Mate mini is a docking station built around the Apple Mac mini M4's compact footprint: matched dimensions, a stackable design and up to 80Gbps of USB-C bandwidth. It adds NVMe storage and everyday connectivity the Mac mini has no room for. Choose Model A for maximum capacity or Model B for maximum single-drive speed; both add networking, a card reader and extra USB ports.
Who it's for
- Mac mini M4 owners who have filled the non-upgradeable internal storage and want fast external NVMe
- Photographers offloading camera cards through the SD 4.0 reader
- Video editors working from external storage
- Anyone tired of a nest of separate dongles around their Mac mini
Key features
- Up to 80Gbps USB-C connection: With a Mac mini M4 Pro (Thunderbolt 5) the dock runs at the full 80Gbps; with a base Mac mini M4 (Thunderbolt 4) the link runs at 40Gbps, capped by the host's own interface.
- Two storage configurations: Model A has dual M.2 PCIe 4.0 x2 slots for up to 16TB combined; Model B has a single M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot rated at up to 6,228MB/s read for maximum single-drive throughput.
- Quiet active cooling: A built-in fan and heatsink with 360° ventilation keep installed SSDs cool during sustained transfers, and independent hands-on reviews confirmed it as near-silent.
- All-in-one connectivity hub: It adds a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, an SD 4.0 card reader, two USB-A 3.0 ports and a rear 3.5mm audio jack, none of which the Mac mini M4 includes on its own.
- Mac mini-matched design: A 127 x 127mm footprint and 16mm profile echo the Mac mini, and the specially shaped short USB-C cables let you stack the dock directly above or below it.
- Flexible power delivery: Peripherals and SSDs under 15W combined draw power directly from the Mac mini; a USB-C PD input accepts an external adapter for higher-demand configurations.

Good to know
- Beelink's own guidance is to mount the dock underneath the Mac mini for the best thermal airflow, since the top position can occasionally interfere with reaching the Mac mini's power button.
- Pick Model A to spread files across two drives (or configure software RAID) and reach 16TB total; pick Model B for one drive running as close to the enclosure's full PCIe 4.0 x4 bandwidth as possible.
Choose this dock if you want storage, 2.5GbE and a card reader in one stackable box that matches the Mac mini. If you only need a bare external drive, a simpler enclosure will do.
